On November 28, 2013 the Association of service companies of Kazakhstan organized the first business breakfast with the management of Tengizchevroil, LLP. The management of TCO was presented by:

This event became the first ever meeting of the recently elected Presidium of KazService Association with the management of oil & gas companies. During the breakfast KazService presented its activity, informed about the events held in 2013 and shared the scope of work for 2014 and the description of the committees.
As for the establishment of the joint ventures KazService suggested its assistance in finding the local partners for the strategic partners of TCO.
The TCO representatives shared the information on the local content within Future Growth Project, on the policy of the attraction of the local companies and on the list of works to be executed at the first stages. From the other hand TCO advised not to concentrate on FGP only but on the current capital expenses for which the good budget is envisaged. Also, TCO promised to support the development of the local companies. But this support has not to be a tout prix but to be reasonable and justified. This argument was agreed by all the participants.
Association became the member of the Expert Council and will focus on the promotion of the interests of its members in this project.
The establishment of the new production and the provision of the services are the directions which are to be supported by TCO.

This seminar was devoted to the issue of potential construction works for the Future Growth Project by TCO. TCO was represented by the vice manager of the FGP, head of the FGP Contractual Department, the FGP construction managers and designers.
The Union of Service Companies was represented by the following companies: SITEK Caspian, Kazturboremont, Centrasia Contractors, Mekhstroyservice, Arystan Group, Logic Services, Avencom, Kaefer and Akpan.
These companies were included in the list of potential participants and obtained the useful information on the entry procedure.
Association of service companies of Kazakhstan took part at the IV Kazakhstan-British forum of suppliers, which took place in Atyrau.
Participants of the event were informed of projects in Kazakhstan, and the necessity of a local partner’s presence for a successful implementation of projects. Issues of licensing, personnel training and events, held by the Association, were raised as well.
On June 28, 2013 the open day of Maersk company, which develops Dunga field, took place in Aktau. Heads of Maersk company informed of the expansion project of Dunga field, the budget of which amounts to more than 1 bln. USD. The management of the Association spoke with suggestions of Maersk company about increase of transparency of tender procedures, establishment of a department for local content development, simplification of tender procedures, and other issues of concern of service suppliers and producers were raised. In July - August 2013 the same events are planned to be held in companies of Lukoil and CNPC group.
