KPO is commencing a new project named Karachaganak Expansion Project Stage 1 (KEP1) which will create additional value for the Republic of Kazakhstan and shareholder companies by optimizing stabilized liquid sales in the period beyond 2020.
KPO has carried out Conceptual Engineering Studies and are now tendering for the selection of a contractor to perform the Front End Engineering Design (FEED) of the KEP1 project.
In order to maximize Kazakhstani engineering companies’ role in FEED process, KPO invited the representatives of 6 international companies in partnership with associated Kazakhstan specialist engineering companies, ell as a range of local companies and associations, to a Forum in Astana.
KPO introduced the KEP1 Project and FEED scope and facilitated a discussion to support partnerships between international and local engineering companies.
At the end of forum an open Q&A session was held where the international and local engineering companies had opportunities to ask KPO specific questions and clarifications. The forum was conducted in an open and friendly manner. Participants thanked KPO for providing the information and early opportunities for providing a clear picture of KEP1.
