The event was held under the official support of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KazMunaiGas NC JSC, KAZENERGY Association, Kazakh Institute of Oil & Gas JSC,’ KazService’ Association of service companies of Kazakhstan and the Machine building Association.
Oil & gas companies, operators of major oil & gas projects in Kazakhstan, associations, service companies and production enterprises took part in the seminar.
Artygaliyev R., General Manager, Tengizchevroil, LLP review the agenda, informed about the rules of meeting procedure and shared the goals and objectives of the event.
Uzakbay Karabalin, Vice-Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan gave a welcome speech to the participants of the seminar. Tim Miller, General Director, Tengizchevroil, LLP, Daurzhan Augambay, General Director of “KazService” Association and Pavel Beklemishev, Member of the Board of Directors of Machine building Association.
In Equipment and materials for corrosion protection and operation in sour environment Section G. Sultanov, Corrosion Engineer of Karachaganak Petroleum B.V. spoke about Karachaganak challenges: Diagnostics of equipment and pipelines operating in H2S service and N.Beskakotov, Reliability Engineer, Tengizchevroil, LLP spoke about Technical Solutions for Operating in Aggressive Environments.
In Operations under ice formation and low temperatures conditions Section B. Kim B., Ice Formation and Hydro Meteorological Situation Engineer, Agip KCO, shared his “Offshore installations to work uninterrupted in Arctic conditions” case with the seminar participants. M.Kerimbekov, Senior Engineer, DNV-GL told about the lessons learnt for Kazakhstan. N.Momynov, Process Engineer Tengizchevroil, LLP spoke about the work experience of Tengizchevroil in achieving world level production performance under low temperature conditions.
The last section was devoted to the sulfur disposal issues where E.Makishev, Environmental Engineering and Investigations Department Director, Kazakh Institute of oil and Gas, JSC spoke about the development of sulfur composite materials.
At the end of the seminar the results were outlined and the future action plan was agreed.
