The event was attended by Rashid Zhaksylykov - Chairman of the Presidium of Association of oil service companies of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Zhumagulov - General Director of Association and a Member of the Presidium - Kudaibergen Almas, Chairman of Centrasia group LLP.
The main topic of the briefing was oil services industry in Kazakhstan, from the crisis to opportunities. The steady decline in world oil prices, the volume of work and capital costs are reduced oilfield service companies. In that reason local companies have to adjust their production plans. At the end of 2015 the volume of oil field work fell by an average of 25% with an average oil price of $ 51. For the first quarter of this year, the average oil price has not exceeded and 40 dollars.
During the briefing, the questions about diversification of some oil service companies, new export markets, the opportunities to work on internal expansion projects of Kazakhstan fields were discussed. Also the creation of the country's high-tech production methods and the provision of high-tech services, through the development of research and development was discussed as well. Association representatives expressed their point on regarding the new Code of subsoil, which is currently under development.
