Delegation of Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) headed by KPO General Director Renato Maroli, has visited the city of Aktobe. The visit has been organized jointly by Akimats of West Kazakhstan Oblast, Aktobe Oblast and the Authority PSA LLP within the framework of interregional interaction and cooperation.   

During the visit, the meeting with Berdibek Saparbayev, Akim of Aktobe Oblast, took place at which the parties discussed the potential opportunities of local companies’ involvement in the projects being implemented by KPO.

The KPO representatives noted industrial capacity of the Aktobe Oblast companies in further development of the Karachaganak field.

On visiting the exhibition stands of the Aktobe region companies, Renato Maroli, KPO General Director, noted that KPO welcomes every opportunity to expand the list of business partners and is looking forward to establishing new mutually beneficial relationships.

During the extended meeting attended by nearly twenty Aktobe based companies, KPO representatives shared information on perspective opportunities for local content engagement in the supply chain of goods, works and services.

Addressing to the local producers, Renato Maroli said: “KPO actively supports the development of national companies and implements a large number of projects that are aimed at fostering cooperation between international and local producers of goods and services, thus ensuring the mutual integration and transfer of advanced technologies into the industrial sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan”.

“We know quite well some of Aktobe companies which work at Karachaganak field. And today we have been familiarised with new local producing companies which are interested in cooperation”,- Renato Maroli added.

KPO delegation has also visited the production facilities of major industrial enterprises of the Region to learn more about their engineering capacity and potential.

Upon the visit, KPO General Director expressed his gratitude to Akimat of Aktobe Oblast for hospitality and wished further success to the companies of the Region.

KPO is one of the first companies in Kazakhstan, which has successfully implemented its local content programme. More than 3900 Kazakhstani vendors are currently registered in KPO supplier database. Since signing the FPSA in 1997, local content share of goods, works and services procured by KPO has exceeded $6.14 billion.
