D.Augambay Kazakhstan took part in the marketing of oil and gas mission of the delegation from Malaysia in Almaty. The event was organized by Trade department of the Embassy of Malaysia in Almaty. The Malaysian delegation is composed of companies such as Barisan Samudera Sdn Bhd, D & P Process Services Sdn Bhd, Hadid Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, Innovative Fluid Process Sdn Bhd, KPG Synergy Sdn Bhd PBJV and Group Sdn Bhd. Activities of Malaysian companies includes the laying of pipelines and their inspection; contracting, mechanical, electrical and concrete work; control instrumentation; non-destructive testing of pipelines.
The main aim of this marketing mission of Malaysian companies was to investigate the potential market and technical cooperation with Kazakhstan companies in the oil and gas industry. During this event, meetings were held with potential buyers and business partners, who were presented by the Association of the service companies of Kazakhstan, the law firm «GRATA», JSC "KazTransOil", etc. Malaysian companies were interested in getting information about awareness of potential partners of Kazakhstan about the possibilities of the Malaysian oil and gas sector.
D.Augambay introduced to the Malaysian delegation activities of the Association, telling about the problems of domestic oilfield services industry and the prospects for its development in the participation of domestic companies in major expansion projects. During the presentation Malaysian companies were informed about the interest of Russian companies to access to the latest technology necessary for their further development and competitiveness in the light of the forthcoming accession to the WTO. Malaysian companies, in turn, expressed their interest in cooperation with Kazakhstan companies in the format of a joint venture. Malaysian companies expressed their willingness to present their possible membership of the Association of service companies of Kazakhstan in the framework of the forthcoming special roundtable, which is going to be held in the second half of 2015.
